SINGAPORE, 28 August 2026 – Hotlotz has launched its first standalone mixed vendor 'Watches & Timepieces' auction with a line-up led by innovative independent watchmakers, Art Deco ladies cocktail watches, neo-vintage classics and vintage mechanical pocket watches. All categories have drawn collector interest across the watch market recently.

Headline lots include the high horology engineering marvel Ulysse Nardin Freak, where the entire movement moves around the dial to tell time, its bridge serving as minute hand and one of the wheels as the hour hand. Meanwhile, the Ressence Type 1 Squared ditches traditional watch hands altogether for a spinning dial where smaller discs float and orbit each other like planets to tell the time. The Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein collaboration seamlessly marries the technical complexity of a monopusher chronograph with the French watchmaker's avant-garde design language. Bell & Ross, Code41 and Pia Feerique make up some of the other independent names with limited edition references rarely seen on the market.

Elsewhere in the sale are a pair of Godzilla special editions from Grand Seiko and Swatch, released a quarter of a century apart. The Grand Seiko 'Godzilla 65' is limited to 650 pieces worldwide, released in 2019 to mark Godzilla's 65th anniversary and Seiko's 20th anniversary of Spring Drive technology.

A run of neo-vintage analogue-digital (ana-digi) and tool watches follows, led by the Omega Speedmaster X-33, nicknamed “the Mars Watch” for its development with input from astronauts and cosmonauts as a tool watch for space exploration. Art Deco ladies cocktail watches from the likes of Rolex and Omega and pocket watches (all of them unfashionably non-plastic) round out the group.

Other rarities include a 1953 Rolex Oyster Royal, a 1974 Omega Ranchero and a group of well-preserved vintage watches from the foundational years of Chinese horology, including a Tianjin dial carrying Mao Zedong's own handwriting.

Hotlotz operates timed, online-only auctions. Bidding closes Sunday 6 September 2026, from 6pm onwards. All items are authenticated and available to view in the Hotlotz Saleroom.
