Hotlotz to Auction Luxury Items Forfeited in Singapore's S$3 Billion Money Laundering Case

SINGAPORE, 29 August 2026 – Luxury items forfeited in Singapore's S$3 billion money laundering case will be sold through a series of timed online-only auctions managed by Singapore auction house, Hotlotz. Scheduled to run from September 2026 to May 2027, the auction series follows the firm's appointment by Deloitte Singapore to conduct public auctions of luxury assets.

Digital catalogues for the first two auctions in the series will be released — and online bidding will open — on Monday 7 September at 10am Singapore time. Items in these first sales will include 338 luxury handbags and accessories by brands including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Christian Dior, together with 286 items of fine jewellery from world-renowned makers such as Graff, Bulgari, and Van Cleef & Arpels.

Subsequent auctions in the series include dedicated auctions of Hermès handbags, watches from prestigious makers including Patek Philippe, Richard Mille and Rolex. Specific auction catalogues will be released in the lead-up to each of the 15 planned auctions in the series.

Luxury Handbags & Accessories

The first auction is dominated by Chanel. Highlights include a sculptural Sphere Minaudière bag and a Runway Perfume Bottle Minaudière in white quilted leather and black lucite.

Additional highlights from other brands include two Christian Dior mini Lady Dior bags – a Limited Edition by artist Judy Chicago in iridescent metallic leather, the other crafted in matte white Himalaya Niloticus crocodile. 

Other notable additions include a scarce Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama Pumpkin Bag in monogram leather, alongside a bespoke Louis Vuitton Coffret Joaillerie trunk featuring unique hand-painted Eiffel Tower and floral designs.

Online bidding opens on Monday 7 September at 10am, and closes on Sunday 20 September, from 4pm onwards.

Fine Jewellery, Part One

A magnificent 15.02-carat fancy yellow diamond ring takes centre stage in the second auction, representing a combination of colour and scale rarely seen in the market.

Other notable additions include a Bulgari 'Serpenti' necklace, set with approximately 15 carats of diamonds, a rare Hermès 'Kelly' bracelet, set with 30.31 carats of baguette and round-cut diamonds, and a Cartier 'Juste un Clou' bracelet set with approximately 2.20 carats of diamonds.

Further highlights include a Van Cleef & Arpels 'Magic Alhambra' pendant necklace set with approximately 2.40 carats of diamonds, and a pair of Harry Winston earrings, set with two aquamarines of around four carats each and accented by diamonds.

Online bidding opens on Monday 7 September at 10am, and closes on Sunday 27 September, from 4pm onwards.

Following the successful completion of registration for a given sale, approved bidders may book a viewing slot via our digital platform.

These timed appointments are extremely limited and are assigned to registered participants only, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Viewing is strictly by confirmed appointment only; walk-ins are not permitted. Within the series, most auctions will be available for physical viewing at Le Freeport, Singapore.
